EASY HIKE FROM FALZEBEN TO THE MOUNTAIN STATION
This easy hike from Falzeben to the mountain station of Merano 2000 is ideal for families and inexperienced hikers.
From the Falzeben car park above Avelengo, the trail runs gently uphill to Rifugio Zuegg on a 35-minute walk along trail no. 14. Alternatively, the Rifugio Parete Rossa inn is easily reached after only ten more minutes' hiking. From there, continue to the mountain station for a fun-packed stopover at the Outdoor Kids Camp.
To return, simply walk back to Falzeben along the hiking trail – or hop on your sledge and race down the 3-km toboggan run to Falzeben through the picturesque, snow-capped forest. Don't have a sled on you? No problem. Toboggans can be rented at the mountain station.
