PICK-ME-UP
Protecting the environment at Merano 2000
Funivie Merano 2000 Spa and the Tourist Office Avelengo-Verano-Merano 2000 strive to keep nature and the mountains clean and ensure that the hiking trails are tidy, safe and in excellent condition – but the workload is so great that many additional helping hands are needed.
That's how the SpazzaTour/Klaub au project was born. In a bid to motivate visitors to lend a helping hand, too, the project names are puns intended to raise awareness and commitment: SpazzaTour comes from the Italian word for waste (spazzatura), and Klaub au loosely translates to "pick it up" from the local German dialect.
Initiated and financed by Funivie Merano 2000 Spa and the Tourist Office Avelengo-Verano-Merano 2000, the project is carried out together with volunteers from the Jugenddienst Bozen-Land association, a non-profit organisation dedicated to children and young adults in and around Bolzano.
And now it's over to us: Please help us keep the mountains clean. Let's all join in and PICK IT UP!

YOUNGSTERS WITH A MISSION:
Every day from 1st to 6th August 2022, young people from the Jugenddienst Bozen-Land association will be out and about to collect the waste left behind on the many paths and trails all over the Merano 2000 skiing and hiking resort. Kudos to them!
