OF GIOGO DI PIETRAMALA
ALONG THE BREEZY RIDGE
The hike begins at the mountain station of the Ropeway Merano 2000, from where the panoramic cabins of the Naifjoch Cableway carry passengers in comfort to the Waidmann Alpine Cottage with its magnificent views. From there the trip continues either on foot or via the Mittager Chairlift to the Mittager Alpine Hut. The sun-kissed terrace with views of the Dolomites is a great place to stop for a while – after which especially keen hikers can continue on their way to the Windspitz.
From the Windspitze, the route continues along the ridge of the Sarntal Alps back to Giogo di Pietramala at 2,128 metres. Once here, there is time to stop to reflect and enjoy the view before beginning the return journey via the Waidmann Alpine Cottage to the starting point at the Merano 2000 Ropeway.
